April Fools
There were a lot of pranks released that day: new Clies, David moving to ClieSource, and the CF driver. I still don’t know how April Fools got started but I believe that people should take this day “seriously.” In a world where there’s mostly bad news coming out every day, people just plainly need a break. I’m afraid that many of us, including myself, have become too serious in living our lives. I remember hearing someone saying that there are more facial muscles used for frowning than for smiling. With that fact, I’m sure a simple smile or preferably a hearty laugh can be a wiser choice than burying and cultivating one’s personality in a field of work.
Amir and company’s Compact Flash Driver is one example of a fact gone bad. It was announced on April 1 and I couldn’t believe the reaction of some people at ClieSource. Some welcomed the announcement while others got violent. My observation comes in again… I think those who over-reacted are just the ones who are not allowing themselves to smile or laugh.
