5 Things I Missed on my Mac
I had a three day weekend without a Mac. Though I was able to keep up with news and email with Gmail and Reader, here are some things I missed about my Mac.
1. eye candy - right after I booted up to OS X, I was greeted with the OS X desktop wallpaper, dock, and icons. They all look so simple and well designed. I’ve seen Vista, but there’s something different about the whole effect. It feels cluttered.
2. Quicksilver - there were various times I pressed my Quicksilver shortcut keys on my PC. I missed Quicksilver so much that I almost installed Colibri.
3. Twitterrific - I tried out several Windows Twitter clients but none were up to par.
4. ecto - that’s why I didn’t have any blog entries. ecto has always been the easiest blogging solution. The only way I could have blogged was through Wordpress.
5. Spotlight - I’ve stopped filing documents and apps into descriptive folders. They’re all just in one folder but Spotlight lets me search for those fast. My PC has so many files that it was a chore to search through them — but it was fun discovering many files that I thought were lost.
