Plurk
I’ve been disappointed with Twitter lately that’s why I’ve been trying out other Twitter-like services. I’ve tried Pownce, Jaiku, and FriendFeed but they didn’t seem to replace “twitterring.”
Then I discovered Plurk. It was a bit confusing at first. It had a timeline, it had verbs in colored boxes, it had creatures, and it had Karma. Weird. Or so I thought.
I signed up and for the past days, I’ve been actively “plurking.” I added friends from Twitter (who strangely but conveniently were using the same names) and have since added new friends, primarily from my country, the Philippines. (Just last night, we were having fun playing around with verb qualifiers that are in our native language.)
Plurk has been replacing blogging for me. It’s a lot easier to just “plurk” anything and usually get a response a few seconds later. Switchblog will however, remain here for those times (like now) when I need to write something more than a 140 character limit.
Intrigued? Why not drop by and see what Plurk is all about. Here’s the FAQ, but even better, here’s an invite.
Plurk out.
