    5 free ebooks

    title.gif

There are other ways to read these 5 free ebooks aside from downloading them from Amazon:

    Blood Engines by T.A. Pratt

His Majesty’s Dragon by Naomi Novik

Settling Accounts: Return Engagements by Harry Turtledove

Red Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson

    Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb

All 5 are available in different ebook formats: PDF, Sony Reader, Scribd.com, and Stanza for iPhone. I haven’t finished reading any of these titles. Instead, I scanned each one and I’m happy to note that each author has a unique writing style. Since all 5 books are book 1’s for their respective series, Random House hopes to attract buyers to complete the set.

    Head on over to suvudu.

Add eBooks to Kindle.app on jailbroken iPhone

    MobipocketLogo.gif

Here’s something for your Mobipocket format ebooks.

Also, if you have multiformat ebooks at your Fictionwise library, just choose “Kindle Compatible (MOBI),” download your ebook and proceed as outlined below…

If your iPhone is jailbroken, you can add any book that is in Mobipocket’s PRC format to Kindle.app.

The file needs to be placed in Kindle’s eBooks folder, which is found in /var » mobile » Applications » random_hash_number » Documents » eBooks. You’ll have to find out what your Kindle.app’s hash is by comparing it to the date you installed the application.

Free titles at the Kindle Store

    51YRXuI71HL._SS500_.jpg.jpeg

I just got Red Mars from the Kindle Store. It’s interesting to note that it’s one of the top 5 free titles at the Kindle Store Bestsellers List. I’m betting new Kindle for iPhone users helped pushed these 5 free titles to the top.

Kindle is not the best iPhone e-reader

    eReader.jpg.jpeg

Check also Classics and the Iceberg reader titles.

By now, you know you don’t need a Kindle 2 to read books electronically. You can use the new Kindle for iPhone app.
But Kindle’s not the only way to read books on a iPhone or iPod Touch. There are two other readers well worth checking out.
